We are more delighted to announce that Alessandro dal Borro Valdarno di Sopra DOC 2019, on the stage of the Merano Wine Festival held from November 7th to 11th, 2025, was awarded the “Platinum” badge, a recognition reserved exclusively for the finest labels presented at the event.
In addition to it, it was also named Best Red Wine of the Festival. This achievement, while filling us with great pride, also represents recognition of the continuous pursuit of improvement to which our winery commits every day.
Alessandro dal Borro is a 100% Syrah produced exclusively from the highest-altitude vineyard on the estate. It elegantly expresses the strength of this varietal through an intense, deeply concentrated purple-red colour that is almost impenetrable—an introduction to an aromatic profile combining notes of black cherry with spices such as black pepper, cocoa beans, and white tobacco, gradually fading into balsamic hints.
Due to its uniqueness, it is produced only for the finest vintages and exclusively in magnum format.
