It is with great pride that we announce that our Il Borro IGT Toscana 2021 has been awarded 97/100 points by the renowned wine critic James Suckling, who described it as follows:
“The aromas of orange peel, violets and currants with a hint of graphite are enticing and follow through to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins and a fresh and focused finish. I love the texture of the tannins. From organically grown grapes. Better in three or four years. Try after 2028.”
Il Borro IGT Toscana 2021 is a blend of 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 15% Syrah, aged in wood for 24 months: the Merlot in 20 hl french oak casks to better preserve its primary and secondary fruit and floral aromas, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah in french oak barriques, of which at least two thirds new, to enrich the structure with tertiary aromas.
