Il Borrigiano is a versatile wine, suitable for drinking throughout the meal and in all seasons, perfectly combining the elegance of Sangiovese with the structure and spicy notes of Cabernet Sauvignon.
The product
The year 2024 began with a mild and dry climate that lasted from January until May, when a period of heavy rainfall commenced, lasting until mid-June. The summer saw heat spikes that were well counterbalanced by a cooler autumn with several rain events. The harvested grapes yielded balanced musts and wines, featuring prominent floral and mineral notes and a lower alcohol content.
Food Pairings
A versatile wine that can be consumed throughout the meal, excellent for accompanying dishes from traditional Tuscan peasant cuisine, such as bread-based soups (ribollita, pappa al pomodoro), fresh and lightly aged cheeses, as well as all non-overly complex meat dishes.
