Thanks to the dedication of Ferruccio Ferragamo, now joined by his children, Salvatore and Vittoria, Il Borro has become a place of excellence, where hospitality, sustainability, and winemaking come together in an authentic and timeless legacy.
Through the centuries
The story of Il Borro stretches across the centuries, from a strategic Roman fortress to the backdrop of historic events, and later the estate of Duke Amedeo of Aosta. It was here that Ferruccio Ferragamo saw its true potential and the opportunity to revive a place suspended in time. In 1993, he began a meticulous and passionate restoration project to bring new life to the medieval hamlet carefully preserving its historic buildings and reawakening its once-forgotten vineyards.
