The Family Story

The deep bond that led Ferruccio Ferragamo to Il Borro is a blend of vocation and instinct, interwoven with childhood memories, family passions, and his natural entrepreneurial drive. The unique characteristics of the Valdarno territory and Il Borro itself were a key driving force behind the decision of Ferruccio and his son Salvatore to devote themselves, starting in 1995, to the revival of the estate’s winemaking tradition.

The Territory's
Expression

Il Borro’s winemaking is a combination of local tradition and international grape varieties. Sangiovese is joined by Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah to create wines that reflect the authenticity of the land, with the Valdarno di Sopra DOC designation standing as a symbol of both quality and heritage.

Experiences

At Il Borro, the life of the farm blends seamlessly with high-end hospitality, devoted to service and to ensuring the best possible experience for each guest. It is the synergy between the visitor and the surrounding environment that transforms a stay or a visit to the winery into an unforgettable experience.
